ARRIVE KATHMANDU

 

Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. On arrival at Airport in Kathmandu, begin your tour of 'Enchanting Nepal'. Kathmandu, rich in heritage and culture, Kathmandu city holds some of the major tourism attraction that draws the attention of tourists from all over the world. After customs and immigration, you will be welcomed outside the arrival hall and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 : 

 

 

KATHMANDU

 

 

 

This morning, enjoy a city tour of Kathmandu, visiting temples of Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Temple of the Living Goddess and the old Durbar Square. Regarded as the most sacred temple of Hindu Lord Shiva in the world, Pashupatinath Temple's existence dates back to 400 A.D. Swayambhunath temple is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. It is also known as the Monkey Temple as there are holy monkeys living in parts of the temple.
The temple of the living Goddess, acknowledges the greetings of her devotees from balcony of her temple residence, Kathmandap - the source of the name Kathmandu. Later, stroll through the old Durbar Square.

Day 3 : 

 

 

ON TO POKHARA (200 KMS / APPROX. 7 HOUR DRIVE)

 

Today, you will proceed on a picturesque drive to the enchanting city of Pokhara. Pokhara with its pristine air, spectacular backdrop of snowy peaks, serene lakes and surrounding greenery make it 'The Jewel in the Himalaya', a place of remarkable natural beauty. On arrival, check-in to your hotel.

Day 4 : 

 

 

POKHARA

 

 

 

The day is spent unraveling the wonders of the Pokhara Valley.
Enjoy a visit to the Tibetan settlements, the handicraft markets and the Gupteshwar Cave where the Shiva Lingam is preserved and finally visit the famous Devi's Falls.
The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy boating on Phewa Lake (on your own).

ON TO KATHMANDU (200 KMS / APPROX. 7 HOUR DRIVE)

 

 

 

Today, drive back to Kathmandu, where on arrival you will check-in to your hotel.

Day 4 : 

 

 

POKHARA

ON TO CHITWAN (190 KMS / APPROX. 6 HOUR DRIVE)

 

 

 

Today, you will proceed on a drive from Kathmandu valley into the subtropical Gangetic plains - the Terai region, to Chitwan. On arrival in Chitwan, check-in to your hotel.
Located at the foothills of the Himalayas, Chitwan is famous for its rich flora, fauna and wildlife, especially the single-horned Asiatic Rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal Tiger!
The rest of the day is at leisure for individual activities.

Day 6 : 

 

 

CHITWAN

 

 

 

Early morning, proceed to the Royal Chitwan National Park.
Pass through Sal Forests, riverine vegetation and 'Elephant Grass' Savannah. Spot different species of birds, butterflies and the most famous single-horned Asian Rhinoceros.
Note : Chitwan National Park closes from 10th June onwards.

KATHMANDU - EXCURSION TO NAGARKOT (32 KMS / APPROX. 1 HOUR DRIVE)

 

 

 

Today, proceed on an excursion to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is situated at an altitude of 7500 feet high and is the best place for countryside walking and mountain viewing. It is the only place from where one can view a panorama of the entire eastern central Himalaya - Everest, Numbur, Chooyu, Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu and to the west Manaslu and Himalchuli five of the world's ten highest peaks. Visit Changunarayan temple, one of the finest and oldest specimens of pagoda architecture, the temple is embellished with exquisite wood and stone carvings and is said to be the oldest pagoda style temple in Nepal built sometime back in 323 A.D. The sacred complex is a World Heritage Site.

ON TO POKHARA (200 KMS / APPROX. 6 HOUR DRIVE)

The rest of the evening is at leisure to enjoy the serenity and magnificence of the Himalayas or enjoy a leisurely walk around the serene Phewa Lake.

The day is spent unraveling the wonders of the Pokhara Valley. Enjoy a visit to Bindabasini Temple the white pagoda-styled building of the Hindu Bindabasini Temple quietly sits at some 3000 feet above sea level along the renowned Annapurna and Machhpuchhare mountain ranges. Also visit the Gupteshwar Cave where the Shiva lingam is preserved and finally visit the Devi Falls.
The rest of the day is at leisure. You can enjoy boating on Phewa Lake (on direct payment basis).
